The son of a virtual world designer goes looking for his father and ends up inside the digital world that his father designed. He meets his father’s creation turned bad and a unique ally who was born inside the digital domain of The Grid. This is indeed the sequel of the original TRON. With wonderful digital effects as well as a master of music to gain the mood, this movie is indeed a great piece of art. However does the story pull it altogether?

Watch the trailer here.

Jeff Bridges, who plays Kevin Flynn, does an awesome job in acting, except on the CG part. They make him younger using Computer Graphics which is not perfect yet for real world deployment. After you get past that fake look of his younger self, it really was a well put together movie. After watching True Grit, it makes me like Jeff Bridges even more as an actor.

Garrett Hedlund, who plays Kevin’s son Sam Flynn, gets to see what his father has built and why his father was gone for all the time. There is a battle between them because of him being left by his father at such a young age.

And let me not forget 2012’s top 5 women Olivia Wilde, who plays Quorra! She plays as this mysterious women in TRON. There’s an intriguing twist to her character, but her fascination and curiosity revolving around the world Sam is from is what gives her character heart.

With all that being said, the story started off slow and ended unfinished. It was as if they weren’t really sure what to leave you thinking. I give this movie a good 7 out of 10 stars due to the story not being as solid as it should have been.

However, this is still a great movie to buy on blu-ray due to the sound and effect! What did you think of TRON: Legacy?
